Seasonal Events are scenes or events which are restricted to specific time period and will only occur between certain real-world dates. Certain [[Cheat_List|cheat codes]] can also be used to get those scenes to occur regardless of the actual time period.

== Calendar rules ==

There is no actual system to handle seasonal events, so each one implements repeatability and time constraints in its own way, which can lead to various quirks.

; Repeatable once per calendar year: At some point when the event is triggered, the game records the current year and will not trigger the event again until not only the seasonal conditions are met, but also until the calendar year has changed (often specifically until it has increased). That means that, even when using cheats, these events cannot be re-triggered until the next year rolls around.

; Reset once the season is over: These events consider the end of a season to be a key point, which causes some flags to be reset. If a game is saved during Christmas season one year, and resumed at some point in September, the game will register that Christmas season is over and will reset the relevant flags. If that same save is not reloaded until the following Christmas, though, that "end of season" trigger will have been missed, and events that check for this will not be available to retry.

; Completable off-season: Some quests, like [[Poe A]] or the [[Pump-king]] quest are set to be initiated during a season, but will not become unavailable if they are not completed by the end of said season.

; Reset by e-mail: Some events chains that are initiated by an e-mail are actually reset specifically by the act of receiving/reading a new copy of said e-mail. How the game decides when the e-mail should be sent again varies.

; One-off/Cannot be repeated: These events set a global save flag at some point when the player goes through them, which the game uses to prevent said event to trigger again. This can be for narrative reasons (like [[The Kashima Incident]]), or just an oversight.

** That event will reset once the season is over, and is repeatable year after year
* [[Ciaran]] will send you an e-mail regarding the [[Dreams#Succucow_Nightmare | Succucow]] if Steele has met him
** Once the e-mail has been read, [[Ciaran]] can be asked about it between 17:00 and 20:00 in-game
** That e-mail will be re-sent every year, so this event is repeatable
* [[Inessa]] starts selling the [[Packaged Witch's Outfit]]
* Entering the [[Tavros#Nursery_Deck|Travos Nursery]] will lead to a scene where Steele gets to carve pumpkins with their children
** That event will reset once the season is over, and is repeatable year after year
