They are blind, meaning that many lust attacks and blind attacks will not work against them. They are armed with [[Vanae_Spear|spears]] and also have the ability to camouflage themselves, increasing their chance to dodge. 

Like the [[Zil Male|male zil]], vanae are a relatively even mix of lust and physical attacks.

Vanae maiden combat actions include:
* <b>Attack</b> - Basic melee attack.
* <b>Spear Strike</b> - Melee attack that deals moderate damage. Critical hits on an opponent will increase the damage by twice its normal damage and cause the opponent to be "'''Stunned'''". Critical hits are ensured when the opponent is "'''Stunned'''" or "'''Trip'''".
* <b>Tail Swipe</b> - Attack that does light to moderate damage and can cause the opponent to "'''Trip'''". There is a rare chance this attack will be a critical hit, doubling its damage.
