Astra is the daughter of [[Special:MyLanguage/Shade| Shade Irons]] and an [[Special:MyLanguage/Amara Faell| undisclosed father]], whom Shade met during her youth. Astra was born and raised on the icy moon of [[Special:MyLanguage/Uveto|Uveto]], an ausar colony that plays host to a warrior order called the [[Special:MyLanguage/Stormguard|Stormguard]], which took a young, pregnant Shade in when she arrived on the planet as a stowaway. While Shade eventually resumed her career as an insterstellar bounty hunter, she left her daughter Astra behind to be raised by her friends among the Stormguard.
