Shelly was a volunteer for an experimental Xenogen drug product. The effects of the drug gave her hyper egg-laying abilities as well as candy-like features. She now works as a saleswoman for the corporation and uses her earnings to rent a room on the station.

Though a bit nervous, Shelly is an optimistic person who isn't afraid to accept help when offered.
