Many of the entire species of Daynar still living on Venar are employed by [[$link-1|Steele Industrial Technology and Production]]: Venar isn’t an especially habitable planet, aside from the Daynar and the Venarians. Because the Daynar prefer warmer climates and can easily exist within the scorching crust of the planet, they’re a valuable race for Steele Tech to employ as miners. They’re technically a prosperous and thriving race, but because there isn’t much food on Venar (especially since the Daynar evolved to be much larger and require more food), most of their money is spent importing it and less on luxuries. As a result, they look poorer than they are, and the uneducated tend to turn their noses up at them because of it.
