Eitan has greatly enjoyed his role as alpha and the power it gives.  Milodan culture values selfishness and trying to get ahead of everyone as though they were your sworn enemy.  He has used his power to force his people to make his life on Uveto as comfortable and pleasurable as possible regardless of whether or not they want to.  Women (and sometimes Men) forced to sexually pleasure him and even bear his children, even if they are already mated to other males.  Food, Water, and other Resources reallocated to his hut.  Any attempt to resist his demands is  seen as a challenge to his authority, meaning that the only options are to fight him and potentially die or be banished from the village.  Granted, most people respect and fear him too much to resist or complain and he is considered very desirable to the Milodan Women.
