If Steele didn’t side with Shade, she’ll appear later as an optional boss in the second part of Kara’s adventure on the [[$link-40|Pirate Base]]. Depending on [[$link-41|Captain Steele]]'s choices, and Kara’s personality, Shade can either survive the encounter (barely), be executed by Kara, or if Steele is her lover, decide not to engage at all and retreat. If she is in a relationship with Steele, the encounter leads to a dialogue with Shade back at the bar that results in either her asking for some distance due to the perceived betrayal, or outright dumping a dishonest Steele.
