Charles is a human assistant to Ara Kei. He seems to be the only person in the Bothrioc Embassy that isn't under Ara's spell. He offers a solution to bothrioc addiction - for a price.

Charles has red hair and a thick Caledonian accent. He helps Ara Kei out of a sense of compassion - although that doesn't stop him winding them up by referring to them as a 'her'. He strongly warns Captain Steele against becoming addicted to bothrioc oil, and offers to sell them Curdsonwhey if they do.

Steele can talk to him about the bothrioc or buy Curdsonwhey off him. They won't be able to buy any if they have reached 100% addiction.
