This product looks like an innocuous pair of headband-mounted bunny ears, but in reality, it is a sophisticated microsurgeon delivery system. The ears themselves store a massive dose of the transforming machines, which are slowly absorbed through the skin of the scalp over twenty-four hours. The wearer is rapidly made to be more like a laquine (a combination lapine/equine), and always gains a pair of bunny ears at the end of the process. A user who already possesses bunny ears will find the product crumbling away when spent, but reports of malfunctions resulting in doubled ears can be found in seedier parts of the extranet. When scrambling one’s genome, nothing is certain!

Xenogen Biotech is the only remaining producer of Laquine Ears after a drawn-out legal battle over the original patent that drove its smaller competitors out of business. Subsequently, the megacorporation purchased their bankrupted rival’s programming secrets at a steep discount to further enhance their own product.

Warning: Laquine ears were recently reformulated to introduce a number of TamaniCorp reproduction boosters, designed to counter the sterility plague facing the bouncy bunny-folk. Side effects include: extreme fertility, enhanced virility, rapid pregnancy, and over-enlargement of primary and secondary sexual characteristics.

This item will be consumed on use. Only one item can be used at a time. In doing so, they will cause the status effect Laquine Ears for 24 hours on the player character. Every 5 hours a transformation will occur. Can be removed prematurely through the appearance menu if less than 5 minutes are left.
