Dr. Teyaal is a Gryvain Engineer, Mistress to Olympia and an optional mini-boss encountered on Zheng Shi.

Appearance

She’s a tall, voluptuous gryvain - a real paragon of that draconic race, with blue-hued scales covering her forelimbs all the way up to her waist, and a quartet of mighty wings beating powerfully behind her. A pair of gnarled horns sweep back over a wild mane of azure hair, giving her a feral appearance when matched with her pronounced fangs. Teyaal’s largely nude, with only a lab coat buttoned once underneath her matronly bosom. She’s drawn an overcharged plasma hand cannon, crackling with barely-constrained energy at the muzzle.

History/Personality/Information of Note

It is implied that Teyaal is one of the bigwigs overseeing the mining operations and ultimate projects on Zheng Shi. Recently, or not recently, she has spent over 200 years trying to build a highly advanced, prototype, one-of-a-kind space ship named "The Sidewinder" with the assistance of her reprogrammed GI Android Olympia. Granted she has long since become bored with the whole project and would like to be done with everything as soon as possible to move on with her life.

Teyaal will first be encountered in her office where just outside, Olympia will warn Captain Steele that she isn’t in a good mood right now and shouldn't be approached. When first entering the office, Teyaal will at first not recognize you before looking through her records and finding you listed as a documented intruder. The doctor will then ask you what you are after and more specifically why you are in her office, suspecting that you have come to steal her life's work. If the player says they are looking for the Probe, it will shift Alignment to Nice. If the player says that they are just Sightseeing it will slightly increase Teyaal’s lust and shifts Alignment towards Mischievous. If the player tells her that they are here to steal Her Ship it will cause Teyaal to become enraged, slightly increasing her stats and shift the Alignment towards Hard. All these options will initiate combat.

After defeating the Shock Hopper and recovering the Steele Tech Data Probe, it is possible to Hijack her life’s work: The Sidewinder. If the player attempts to enter Zheng Shi while piloting The Sidewinder Teyaal will attempt to take back her ship with her less powerful MS-XI. If you are defeated by Teyaal, she and her daughter will board the ship and have it surrounded by a fleet of Pirateships, leading to a Bad End. If the player defeats her, she will retreat back to the docks and desperately try to repair her ship to try again next time. Teyaal will attempt to take back The Sidewinder a total of 3 times before her ship becomes too damaged to return to Zheng Shi. When this happens, the player will have the option to Leave her on board her ship where she will most likely die of a gas leak, lack of food, lack of oxygen, or the ship blowing up. If the player Docks her ship, they will be able to rescue her. Teyaal will admit that she is impressed that you were able to push The Sidewinder past its limitations and defeat her multiple times even though she knew all its weaknesses. She then gives you her blessing to use her ship and tells you to visit her on the Recreation Deck if you get the chance.

NOTE: Doctor Teyaal isn’t the only one who worked on The Sidewinder, after all it’s the main reason why Zheng Shi was built. Naturally, wasting over 200 years of hard work and sacrifice will leave the remaining workers Absolutely Livid With The Red Hot Burning Intensity of 1000 Exploding Stars. As such, they will take out their frustrations on your old ship, violently dismantling it and using its scrap parts to try and build The Sidewinder II.

Teyaal wears a Lab Coat, an Improvised Shield Generator, and her own custom Caster Pistol. She uses many shield oriented skills and perks that are obtainable for Tech Specialist. Additionally once her shield is broken, she will enter Lust Mode. You cannot flee from this encounter and losing to her will result in a Bad End.

• Deadly Shock - Functions exactly like the Perk.

  • 70% chance to stun
  • Expends 15 points of energy

• Charge Shield - Functions exactly like the Perk.
  • Counter move that reinforces shield
  • The next 2 melee attacks may stun the player and the next 2 ranged attacks may blind.
  • Can only be used once

• Plasma Bolt - Basic ranged attack.
  • Deals burning damage with a chance to cause Burning DoT.

• Take Wing - Teyaal begins to fly.
  • Increases evasion and accuracy for 3 turns.
  • Temporarily becomes immune to most melee attacks.

• Tease Attack - Teyaal will tease you with her milky boobs.
  • Requires Teyaal to be in lust mode.
  • Deals more damage against PC’s with scales because she had her nipples pierced with a Geddanium Ring chain.
