The Church of the One God is something humanity brought with them into the stars. Founded on the most recent translation of the bible, the Galactic Standard Edition, this church has aggressively spread via good-will missions that pack religious propaganda in the guise of aid for impoverished or barely-civilized.

This religion shares many tenets with modern day Christianity, but it is twisted and manipulated to leave out or rewrite sections that would be invalidated by things like space travel and modern knowledge of aliens. Followers of the Church of the One God are typically considered prudes by most civilized creatures. They do still oppose gene therapy and modification (tampering with god's creations!). Cybernetic enhancement is also frowned upon, but simple cybernetics to replace lost limbs or faulty organs are permitted.
