The staple of the raskvel’s diet takes the form of a round, doughy, oatmeal-colored dumpling the size of a cauliflower, wrapped in tinfoil, dense and greasy to touch. Aerodynamic it is not but everything about it has speed in mind: How fast it takes to bake, how quickly it can be eaten, and the number of calories it contains to keep a short-legged, high-libido’d rabbit-reptile running around from dawn until dusk.
