This beat up old gun looks something like an old-earth lever action rifle, chambered in a magnum pistol cartridge meant for close range blasting through the armored chitin of the myr races. The weapon is a reference to Josh Randall's shortened Winchester model 1892 from the 1950s TV show Wanted: Dead or Alive nicknamed the Mare's Leg. "Mare's Leg" has since become a generic term for a lever-action rifle with a sawed-off stock and short barrel.
