Petra is a black void slave contractor encountered as the boss of Akane's Quest

Appearance

She swipes her hand again, bringing up the image of a bulky figure in black and red Reaper IV armor. Said figure seems to be a female kaithrit, far too tall for the average and far too powerfully built for anything other than rough work. Instead of hair, her head is covered in abstract tattoos and everything from the neck down is a mixture of shiny bodysuit and hi-tech armor, some sort of shield generator on her left forearm and a foot long hilt of something in her right.

Petra is a mountain of a woman. Six and a half feet by your guess, wide and maybe just a little too muscular for her bodysuit. Heavy plates cover the vital areas including a rather telling pelvic plate that juts out between her legs. She be packing.

You’re fighting Petra, a slaver executive for the Black Void! Alongside are two of her slaver grunts! The towering monster of a kaithrit is clad in heavy, tight armor with the black and red design of the Void. She stands well over 6’ tall and is heavily built in muscle if her tight suit is anything to go by. A large pelvic plate hints at a little something else that’s hidden away... In her right hand, she carries a tri-whip that glows and crackles in neon blue light and in her left is some sort of hardlight siege-shield. The bulky hexagraphic shield is enough to cover her fully from the front when she crouches.

Despite all the illegal things that Akane does in lottery rigging, smuggling, assassination, theft, fraud, and organized crime, she at least has moral standards against slavery. Unfortunately, the Black Void Pirates have recently begun pirating Host Shukuchi's top secret weapons and gadgets and using them to advance their capture and selling of Slaves. Madame Petra is the one overseeing this operation, making her an enemy and target of Host Shukuchi.

Interactions

Before the fight, Captain Steele will have the options Waiting For It or to Provoke Petra. Choosing to wait results in Petra being blinded alongside two Slaver Attendents for 1 turn. Choosing to Provoke her will result in one of the Slaver Grunts being disabled and Petra being blinded for 2 turns instead of 1 at the price of losing 20% of your current health and gaining a fight lasting bleed status effect.

Combat

Petra is a tough opponent to beat. Not just because her attacks deal a lot of damage, but she has many special attacks to increase damage dealt and decrease damage taken + Captain Steele is handicapped by having the only available tools being his main weapons and a shibari outfit. She fights using her custom whip and a Warden Shield. She does not have any lust attacks as a part of her moveset. Additionally, Petra has a tier system that increases the number of attacks she uses and the power of the attacks. (Taking her down will instantly net you a win, regardless of the state of her goons)

The Tiers are as follows:

Tier 1: 50%-100% Shields Can use up to 3 attacks

Tier 2: 0%-50% Shields Can use up to 4 attacks

Tier 3: She will use up to 5 attacks

• Triple Lash - Petra lashes at you with her whip to deal kinetic damage
  • Available at Tiers 2 and 3

• Spiral Devastation - Petra overcharges her whip and flings the excess energy right at you. Applies "Burning" status effect
  • Available starting at Tier 3

• Hunker Down - Petra hides behind her warden shield making her harder to hit and is immune to stun effects
  • Available at Tiers 1, 2, and 3

• Hunker Lower - Petra hides even deeper behind her shield making it near impossible for either of you to hit each other
  • Available at Tier 4

• Entangle - Petra grabs with her whip and pulls you into a grapple. Applies "Restricted" status effect
  • Available at Tiers 1, 2, and 3

• Shield Bash - Petra slams into you with her shield to deal high damage. Guaranteed to stun
  • Available at Tiers 2 and 3

• Shield Overcharge - Petra overcharges her shield and grants her +15% to all of her resistances. She will also deal half of her melee damage whenever she is hit during her turn.
  • Available at Tier 3

Damage Resistances

• 25% immunity to kinetic attacks
• 25% immunity to electric attacks
• 50% immunity to freezing attacks
• -10% immunity to burning attacks

Lust Resistances

• 1% immunity to all lust attacks

Upon defeat she will drop a variant of her Phasic Whip dependent on class.
