Bad Ends by Source/zh-hans

There are many transformation items and NPCs that a player can interact with in Trials in Tainted Space, but overindulgence and certain characters can transform, warp or otherwise alter a player in ways that mean they either can no longer physically undertake their quest, or that they no longer wish to undertake that quest. These are known as Bad Ends or Game Overs.

This article lists the various Bad Ends that it is possible to experience in the game, how they can be achieved, and the basics of those Bad Ends.

Substance Abuse

This section covers all bad ends that results from using an item or transformative device numerous times. Most of the endings involve Captain Steele transforming into a monster/creature physically and mentally incapable of completing their mission or the player becoming so addicted to the way the item makes them feel, that they drop whatever they were doing in favor of feeling that way forever.

"Fapping Forever"

Cause: Inject yourself with Throbb while having a cock at least 30 inches long, balls 10 inches in diameter, taint at 50, and libido at 100 or reach 100 after use.

Effect: The player's cock will extend to a gargantuan size and their balls will become only able to produce cum. Their refractory period will become non existent. The player will then become immobilized and incapable of thinking about anything but Fapping, eventually giving up on their quest in favor of being an Ultraporn Holo-Star.

Cause: Spray yourself with a Gush Spraypen at 100 libido while having your highest cup size be at least TT-Cup.

Effect: The player's breasts will become inflated with an endless amount of milk, and the player will inflate with desire to be milked and fucked. Eventually, you are rescued by Zo’dee who keeps you safe and fed as a fluid source.

Cause: Same as above except triggered on New Texas.

Effect: Same as above, but instead of Zo'dee the player will be taken to Big T's milk barn and after being gangbanged in an orgy led by Brynn, they will be hooked up to a custom industrial milker. The player spends the rest of their life being milked and fucked by Bulls.

"Reverse Transcendence"

Cause: Consume ClearYu while having the Sweet Tooth status effect.

Effect: The player's mind will become drained of any thought, emotion, and desire aside from the need to use and improve their body. They will for the first year afterwards exhaust every possible way to have sex with literally anything you can possibly think of. Afterwards, they will focus on trying to improve their body, becoming the most famous and talented athlete in any and every sport. After that, they will try being a Mercenary, which they will succeed at with supreme ease. All the while never being satisfied.

"A Sticky Situation"

Cause: Choose to Blow Bubbles! when using Rubber-Made.

Effect: The player will discover a side-effect of Rubber-Made that causes a decrease in cognitive function when it is used to blow bubbles. Eventually, they accidentally swallow the gum. The gum will eventually inflate in their body, emerge from your mouth, pop, and enshroud them in a thick, skin tight layer of latex. The player will find themselves immobilized, horny but unable to cum, and mistaken as a sex doll. After passing through several owners they will eventually be recovered by your Rival and Dane before finally cumming on them and turning them into living sex dolls as well.

Cause: Use the white Suma Cream pearl while having testicular diameter of 90" or 81" if the pearl is black and choose Let Them Grow.

"Let's Go Crazy"

Cause: While using Doctor Badger's Silicone stuffer, choose to Go Crazy as a Bimbo on Tarkus.

Effect: The player's already nymphomaniacal senses and body will cause them to experience orgasmic euphoria as their whole body inflates rapidly with Silicone. Eventually, Doctor Badger comes to check on you, and removes your body from the inflation Nozzle at the last minute before you become so inflated she can't reach the switch, and after you use almost all of her Silicone. Note: Unlike most tranformative bad ends, Soak's Bad End is not static, that means that there is usually not a 100% chance of triggering the bad end. Right now, the likelihood of getting the bad end is determined by the following formula: (30 * Times Overdosed) - raw Willpower. This translates to the number of times you overdosed times 30, minus the player's current willpower score. So right now the highest willpower can be 50 points. After 2 overdoses this means the player would have a 10% chance of triggering the bad end. 3 times increases the likelihood to 40%. And so on and so forth. Bear in mind that their are more levels to be added as Trials in Tainted Space develops, so the likelihood of this bad end triggering after overdosing will change as well.

Aggression

This section covers bad ends caused by the direct action towards a hostile NPC if the player is unable to defend themselves against them. By losing to them, the player will immediately find themselves killed or enslaved by the likes of the enemy.

Cause: Lose to Gray Prime in Anno's Ghost in the Machine Quest on Tarkus.

Effect: The Gray Prime will turn into a mass of Gooey Tentacles. After sodomizing you and Anno it tosses you in a vat of Gray Goo, where the two of you will be sustained and used as a source of Gray Goo lubricant for indefinite periods of time by being endlessly sexually pleasured.

Cause: Lose to Hand So's Firewall or submit to her plan after you listen to her story during Colenso's The Hnngularity Quest on Tarkus.

Effect: Hand So will take the PC's Codex and GPS Triangulator and begin to interface with them, compromising every wireless network, device, and satellite, allowing her to account for every Sapient Life Form on Tarkus and eventually the whole galaxy. Meanwhile, the PC will be subjected to electro-stimulation in order for her to design an implant that will control the minds of Sapient Life Forms by keeping them happy and peaceful with constant sex. She will then use you and the Sex Bots to spread the implants across the galaxy, starting with Tarkus, using you especially with your microsurgeons to change you into any alien to more effectively infiltrate any world and race that might escape So's clutches. Eventually, she succeeds in uniting the universe under the banner of sex and celebrates by subjecting you to an endless number of sexual stimulants, scenarios, and pleasures each one more unique and perverse than the last.

Cause: Lose to the Deconstruction Unit on Myrellion.

Effect: Captain Steele is immolated by the Deconstruction Unit. If that doesn't kill them, then when the machine ignites the highly flammable and combustive silphynol deposit, it creates an explosion that destroys the Myr Infected Queen, the PC, and itself.

Cause: Lose to the Queen of the Deep on Myrellion.

Effect: Steele will be dragged to the depths of the Queen's home and force fed a sedative that the Deep Queen lactates. The Deep Queen will then use the player as a means to repopulate her species by impregnating each other over and over again .

Cause: Lose to the Beryl the Crystal Goo Incubator in Queen Taivra's Palace on Myrellion.

Cause: Lose or submit to the the Nyrean Princess in Queen Taivra's Palace on Myrellion.

Effect: PC is brought before Amara Faell. She sends Kara off to be punished by Bragga, but decides to keep you for herself. PC gets one of Khan's collars put on, at the lowest setting -- you get to keep your brain, but with heightened libido and no ability to resist commands.

Notes:

• If the enemy you lose to is specifically the Pirate Engineer, she will sleep with you before giving you to Amara.
• If Kara killed Shade, Amara will kill Kara and take out her frustrations on you.
• Kara has an invisible personality alignment score. If Kara's score is set to Kind, then Kara will sacrifice herself to save the PC from this fate if this Bad End is triggered.

Cause: Fail to defeat the Scarlet Federation soldier protecting the Warehouse front door in 2 turns in Fazian's I Know Why the Caged Bird Dances quest on Myrellion.

Effect: The guard will blow her whistle, summoning a large battalion of elite Red Myr soldiers that will gun you down before you can react.

"I Didn't Choose the Slut Life"

Cause: Lose to Major Ehstraffe and her entourage while being Feminine in Fazian's I Know Why the Caged Bird Dances quest on Myrellion.

Effect: Ehstraffe will settle Fazian and the Gold Myr prisoners down before selling you to the Tarratch slaver for 20,000 credits. Once they have smuggled you off Myrellion, under the effects of various cocktails of brainwashing drugs and electrotherapy, the skillful insectile slavers extract the details of your identity and bank account. They proceed to wipe both clean, liquidate your assets and provide you with a new identity: Cindi Luvscock. This obviously costs money, which Cindi begins the long, slow process of paying back by working a glory hole on one of the frontier's sleazier space stations. Once sufficiently trained at servicing even the biggest, most outlandishly shaped dick, the tarratch sell you to an ausar pirate warlord operating on the fringes of known space.

Cause: Lose to basically any enemy except for Henderson or Holmes in The Kashima Incident distress call.

Effect: Captain Steele will make it to the launch bay and depart from Kashima with an empty ship and call several distress calls. Unfortunately, by the time medical assistance arrives, the mysterious tentacle parasite manifests and will compel Steele to sleep with the Kaithrit doctor and spread the parasite.

"The Captain's Mate"

Cause: Lose to Captain Holmes or Commander Henderson in The Kashima Incident distress call.

Effect: Captain Steele will be tentacle fucked nonstop for about a fortnight until they too are turned into an unrecognizable mass of tentacles. By the time Nova Security forces arrive they are greeted by a river of tentacle sex that spreads itself across the galaxy by commandeering their ship.

Cause: Lose to the Gold Myr Intelligence Officer during Sellera's Federation Quest on Myrellion.

Eventually, you cave in confessing the location of Lieve and the Pathfinders, your mission, information about the reds occupying Kressia, and later about your Codex and ship. This is all done so that Ellira can coordinate an assassination of Lieve and the Pathfinders and steal your ship from the DMZ to use it in a precise assault on the Scarlet Federation that obliterates their entire Navy and Air Force, before setting their sights on the Federation Capital. When all is said and done you are labeled a war criminal and sentenced to life in prison.

Effect: The Warqueen uses her tank to reduce you to roadkill.

Cause: Lose to the Warqueen during phase 2 of her boss fight while having a penis in Sellera's Federation Quest on Myrellion.

Effect: The Warqueen takes you prisoner, steals your Codex equipment, and ship and sells it to help fund the war effort. She then keeps you to breed her so she can repopulate her species and replace her fallen daughters.

Cause: Lose to the Warqueen during phase 2 of her boss fight without having a penis in Sellera's Federation Quest on Myrellion.

Effect: The same as above, except Estallia hands you over to her 12 sons and 8 drone harem refugees to be bred by them.

Cause: Lose to the Nine-tailed Zil during Azra's 1st expedition quest for Fuck Lilies on Mhen'ga.

Effect: The turrets will annihilate Captain Steele, much to Azra's horror.

Alternative Aggression

These are bad ends caused by certain interactions and decisions the player can make in the game. In the game, the character will be implicitly or explicitly warned that the decision will have extremely negative consequences, usually death. Most of them involve being in the wrong place at the wrong time or saying the wrong thing to the wrong NPC.

"Planetfall"

Cause: Be anywhere except Novahome on the surface of Tarkus when the Tarasque's Bomb detonates.

Effect: The bomb will explode. Being a nuclear bomb, being anywhere near the rift or the Stellar Tether will result in instant vaporization. Assuming that the PC isn't near the Stellar Tether, the explosion will destroy the gravitational stabilizers holding the Raskvel's and Gabilani's respective homeworlds a nice safe distance away from each other. The result is that the two planets will crash into each other, the collision creating a reverberation that jettisons Tarkus' atmosphere and shatters the geosphere into countless fragments. Obviously being in the middle of a literal apocalypse will kill Steele.

Notes:

• From the moment the player defeats Tam Tam and moves 2 rooms to the right, they will receive a transmission from Kaska. Once that transmission is received the player only has 4 hours before the bomb explodes.

• The Tarasque have a chance to disarm the bomb if one of said bomb's remotes wasn't stolen from Captain Khorgan or Kaska.

• If the character causes this bad end by not defusing the bomb, then even if they don't die, it will kill several other characters including Lane, Una, Petr, Godi, Colenso, Chaurmine if he wasn't saved, Hand So if she wasn't saved, Aurora if the Shields weren't activated on the Ghost Deck, the Sydian Matriarch, Zea, Lumi, and every other hostile NPC roaming the surface of Tarkus.

Cause: Go and meet with the Red Myr Sympathizers at the designated time and place, without informing the Gold Myr Queens during Queen Irelia's Quest on Myrellion .

Effect: The Red Myr Sympathizers will detonate a bomb in an act of terror and as a symbol of hatred towards the Gilden Republic. The explosion and place of meeting were purposely planned to disorient the player long enough for the sympathizers to escape before the police arrive. "Nuclear Launch Detected"

Cause: Activate the Pirate Base's self-destruct sequence and during Kara's Kara Quest 2: The Eye of the Beholder and be in Kressia, Gildenmere, or No Myr's Land on Myrellion .

Effect: The Scarlet Federation and the Gilden Republic will both detect an unauthorized and unidentified Nuclear Explosion. Each faction will assume that the other one is attempting to attack them with their Nuclear Weaponry. In their panic they will release the full fury of all their Nuclear Missiles and warheads, initiating a Nuclear Holocaust killing everyone on both sides and innocent bystanders in between.

Note:

• If the PC tells Dread Lord Amara Faell in your confrontation on the helipad that they are only in it for the Money, and accepts her offer for 20,000 credits or loses to her, she will deactivate the bomb, preventing the bad end.

• If the Bad End is triggered, the radiation and fall out will lead to the surface being glassed in a Nuclear Winter with several characters dying including Gene, Orryx, Xanthe, Vi, Dally, Fazian, Irellia, Yarasta, Briha, Lys, Lieve, Asennia, Hepane, Nehzara, Lyralla, Sellera, Ehstraffe, the Wetra Hound, the Wetraxxel Brawler, Shiare, Anarrie, the Merchant Queen, Anzhela, and Estallia.

These bad ends are caused by the player submitting to an NPC who is not outwardly hostile towards the PC but may be malevolent or doesn't carry the PC's best interests at heart or above their own. As such, these NPC's will force, lie, trick, drug, hypnotize, or brainwash the PC, usually with the intent to make them their sexual plaything.

"Nobody ever reads the contract..."

This section covers events that the player can take part in that will end the game. Unlike most Bad Ends the events that unfold in them are not all around unpleasant. Furthermore, the player will be given a choice with the consequences of said choice being explicitly stated with NPCS warning you that following through with the choice will end the quest and game. The PC won't be physically or mentally warped by the Good End unless they wanted to and it happens in the ending as a result.
