| 史 English(en) | After successful conception, a pregnant gryvain will have her belly quickly swell with a growing egg until she’s nearly as gravid as a human female in her third trimester. After six weeks of carrying the egg the expectant mother will lay it, after which it must be kept warm and safe for an additional six weeks whereupon the newborn gryvain will hatch. Gryvains are always born singularly, with no instances of multiple births recorded. Newborns are incredibly small and helpless after birth, and rely on their mother to nurse from. They grow much like human children for the next several years, able to fly, walk, and communicate after two to three years, and reaching sexual maturity at 20 years of age. |
