Once a “bearer” has been successfully inseminated, she will rapidly swell with eggs. Typical clutches are between six and ten young, and are carried by the mother for roughly four weeks before she will lay them through her tail. During her short pregnancy, the mother usually experiences a marked increase in sex drive, described colloquially as becoming “cum hungry,” as she will usually become extremely receptive to penetrative sex.
