Although initially delighted to discover other peaceful races willing to share their technology with them, tensions quickly developed between the anatae and other U.G.C. members. The anatae resented what they felt was a united front directed against them from humanity and the ausar, disliked the corporate nature of humanity’s space exploration and found the speedy nature of the ausar’s deployment of warp gates chaotic and reckless. In turn humanity and ausar found both the militancy of anatae culture and the rapidity of their colonization deeply alarming. Matters had reached an almost cold war-like state when the thraggen were discovered.
