A saeri female can give birth to anywhere between four to six young at a time, held for three months until birth. Saeri children are typically born as siel. However, there is a small chance of them being born as a ‘pure saeri’—a child born a saeri without having to become a siel first. This chance is significantly increased when mating occurs between two saeri partners.
