It can be assumed from the Marion portion of the Lureling Codex entry that this Essyra or the Essyra's ancestors were psionically dominated by a Lureling or that Lureling's ancestors, and that their bodies are being used as a puppet to scout Uveto's surface and seduce sapients, so that the Lureling can feel some facsimile of sexual pleasure. Because of this, Marion comes off as a mute, ditsy, playful temptress, who's only function is to serve the basic functions and desires of their Lureling (Master/Mistress).
