Appearance

The gryvain are large reptilian humanoids, standing larger and heavier than humans/ausar on average. Gryvain have scale-covered lower bodies, with upper bodies sporting supple, often-colorful skin. In addition to two pairs of large, leathery wings, each gryvain has a pair of curling horns growing from her brow, and slitted reptilian eyes with brilliant yellow irises. As an all-hermaphrodite race, gryvain are universally feminine in appearance with very large, egg-bearing hips and full breasts. Gryvain have sinuous tails growing from just over their behinds, fully prehensile and tapered to a fine point. Their tails are covered with small, soft scales, and are smooth from tip to base. Gryvain tails help with balance, in flight and on the ground, and can be controlled precisely enough to operate tools and assist in other activities. While the base of the tail is heavily scaled and rather dull, the tapered tip is quite thin and has as much sensitivity as some species’ sex organs.
