Lieve grew up on a small, rural farm deep in Scarlet Federation territory. While she was too young to serve in the Federal army when the Red-Gold Conflict broke out, she joined most other teenage red myr in volunteering to work in munitions factories and to receive early training in martial arts. When she finally came of age to volunteer, Lieve's rural background and aptitude as a hunter quickly found her recruited for the Federation Scouts, a combination sapper/spotter/marksman unit. Over three years of active service, she's risen through the ranks to become a junior officer (her exact rank is unstated), and commanded a small company of scouts during the campaign to take Kressia.
