The Sleet Shaft

A cloud of swirling mist clings to this icy weapon at all times, nearly occluding the alien glyphs spelled out across its surface. Your Codex claims they translate as the “the Sleet Staff,” though it cannot tell you the strange script’s origin. Nevertheless, the source of its name is self-evident. The staff is freezing cold to the touch and so slick that wielding feels like a gamble, even with a pair of survival gloves from your pack. Maybe it’s not worth the difficulty. You dismiss the echoing thought from the back of your mind that suggests staying warm might not be worth it.
