The confluence of low technology, quietness, and stopping power found in the humble crossbow naturally draws shalinae warrior culture to it. Only bolts constructed of the shalinae’s own incredibly strong, lightweight feathers can withstand the brutal torque the steel fiber cable on these jury-rigged creations draw, and the projectile thus produced is technically classified as an anti-vehicle missile by UGC Peacekeeper Logistics. Going against it, at least for any creature that doesn’t have a strong lower body with dextrous feet, is the excruciating reload.
