On the interstellar stage the anatae are fairly introverted and are rarely seen outside of their planets except in official capacities. During galactic rushes they are much more visible, with frontier stations and colonies sometimes flooded by anatae on shore leave. The preponderance of female or feminine-appearing races in the galaxy means that male anatae retain an ausar-like libido in alien society, and because of the general lack of opportunity on their own planets can be quite sexually aggressive. As a rule the anatae regard the U.G.C. as chaotic and corrupt, but also a useful ‘release valve’, and place great value on the sophisticated creative works that other races can produce, such as art, music and gene-mods. In turn humans and ausar resent the anatae for demeaning wider galactic society in this way, however respect the structure, industry and safety they generally bring with them.
