They have elongated faces, their noses reaching roughly 12 cm from their faces, and they are hooked downward and to a point. They have an average sense of smell. They have strong jaws, and unlike the common lizard, their cheeks are elastic, capable of ballooning slightly, like a human’s, to store food. In light of that fact, their side and rear teeth are actually flat whilst their front eight teeth- four on top and four on bottom- are sharp incisors. Their lips are typically thin and colorless, but they do have lips. Their tongues are long and wide, but thin. Their ears are little more than dark holes on the sides of their heads, resting at eye level, but despite that, they have extraordinary hearing.
