The saloon doors of the Bucking Bronco swung open as Kase stepped through them. The kaithrit boy’s pine-green tails twitched behind him, betraying his nervousness. It had been many years since he’d last set foot in a bar, and he had no intentions of embarrassing himself as he had the last time he visited one. Kase cast his heterochromatic eyes around the room, anxiously scanning the saloon for the white-furred ausar who had summoned him here.
