The thraggen only entered the galactic stage in 227 A.C., when a U.G.C. warp gate flew into orbit around a starward thraggen world, and activated. An element of the Terran Coalition Expeditionary Force arrived with it, eager to explore the new world — and were immediately met with a rampaging horde of towering greenskins, descending upon them like wild animals. The bulk of the Terran force retreated, with several dozen captured and enslaved before the C.E.F. could leave the planet. By the time the Coalition returned with a full fleet to rescue the prisoners, they met — to their horror and surprise — an equal fleet of cobbled-together thraggen warships, with several more fleets on the way as the underestimated “brutes” co-opted the Ausar gates to unite their own worlds.
