After fulfilling Eitan's first selfless request, the player can return to the mines to find Ula was true to her word. However, since Eitan specifically requested water for his people and not himself he does not possess an extra water skin. They will also find him in a sour mood as they approach him and aside from the extra water skins, nothing in the mines has really changed. Extremely intelligent players will be able to remember Eitan's description of his mother; His mother was intrinsically and unconditionally loved by her subject due to her kindness to them. Eitan was expecting some kind of praise or recognition for his selflessness. Just as the player is about to approach him, one lone Milodan soldier has approaches the Alpha and has a short, one-sided conversation with him. While the player does not hear the majority of the conversation, they do hear a "Thank you." and see the soldier give Eitan his water skin. When the player greets Eitan, after a brief Faux-Pas, he will reluctantly ask for an audience with Ula to negotiate an actual peace agreement with her.
