When talking to Quaelle about Her the first time, Quaelle will offer to give you a Hug as she believes it is a way for two sapient life forms to bond. Doing so will give you the Roehm Slimed effect. While this status effect is a debuff, it is necessary in order to get into Quaelle's proverbial pants. This debuff if also necessary if you feel like talking to her again, for you see, when doing her talk scenes again Quaelle will reveal that while she enjoys her work, she is extremely lonely, especially since her race can only reproduce once every decade and she missed her last opportunity and members of other races are often repulsed by her slimy form and refuse to be near her. Certainly doesn't help that as matron she feels jealous and frustrated taking care of other people's babies yet having none of her own. Upon doing the "Her" scene again without hugging her, it is possible to activate an invisible timer that upon reaching zero, will cause Quaelle to depart from Breedwell to her homeworld to find love.
